Depending on the type of product being produced, Light Industrial Machine Operators operate equipment can mix, cook, process, cuts, trims, shapes, or forms material.
Sorters are responsible for sorting items during the production process in manufacturing companies.
Stack and pile finished goods into containers and prepare goods for shipment
General Laborers assist in various areas in Production or Warehousing as needed by department. Duties can include assembly, packing, sorting, etc.
Palletizers and Shrink Wrap Operators operate consoles that control automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets finished product. They also read production and delivery schedules and stacking pattern to determine sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of packages on pallet, and destination of loaded pallet.
Sanding/Trimming and Grinding workers operate hand tools to sand, trim, or grind surfaces. They also, polish pieces, and clean surfaces.
Janitors/Sanitation workers keep buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing duties such as cleaning floors/walls/glass, and removing trash. They also conduct routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
